You know what it’s like when there’s something that you should be doing, in my case finishing the sequel to The Moral Compass, and all you seem to want to do is something else?
In the spirit of procrastination, Lauren and I went to a stunning local garden yesterday and shot three of my costumes. A green late 1830s/early 1840s skirt and bodice, an 1815 (ish) cream Regency dress and the 1855 black and white ensemble that appears on the cover of The Moral Compass, which I decided to take some more shots of just because I love it so much.
Working around looming storm clouds, boggy ground, fallen trees from the huge storm last week, and my son running around trying to photobomb us (it’s school holidays), we managed to get some lovely shots that I hope to use on future covers and share with other writers for their covers via Shutterstock.
Thank you once again, Lauren, for being such an amazing model.
