Welcome to my first blog. I’ve just started a website at kaservian.com where I’ll let you know what I’ve been up to in my writing life. You can follow me by clicking on the link which, assuming I set it up correctly, should be on the welcome page.
If you’ve already liked my Facebook page, you’ll know that I recently self-published my first novel Peak Hill. This experience has been an enormous learning curve with more than a few stumbles along the way. I’ve received a lot of support during this journey from my friends at Romance Writers NZ many of whom have been so very generous with their time and expertise – thank you, ladies, you’re awesome.
Now that Peak Hill is on the virtual shelves, I have turned my attention to my second completed manuscript which is currently titled Closed. It has just gone to my developmental editor Michelle for her input and I hope to have it back for a review in a couple of weeks.
Closed is a thriller with romantic elements (is that called a romantic thriller? I hope so, cause that’s what I put on the cover.) Here’s a sneak peek at the blurb as it currently stands and the proposed cover. I’d appreciate your feedback on both these elements. You can send me your thoughts on the contact page of the website.
Grace put her promising career as a graphic designer on hold two years ago to nurse her sick mother. Now her mother has passed and Grace must begin to get her life back on track.
When her charming, but unreliable, ex-boyfriend appears on the doorstep, Grace’s misery is complete—or so she thinks. She has no idea that a mystery birth certificate she found in a box while clearing out her mother’s attic is about to turn her life on its head—it turns out that she is adopted. Grace starts the search for her birth parents and is unwittingly thrust into the middle of a mysterious twenty-five-year-old cold-case that threatens everything, even her life.
